2024 Alaska Dall Sheep Story, Lessons, Gear, and Resources

I know some are readers and other like to listen while meddling around with other tasks. I did a write-up/full story and will share that (with more images), but figured this may be easier to digest for folks who fall into the latter group mentioned above. There’s also a gear/food list in the show notes for those interested.

I “fell” into a sheep hunt on a cancellation in late May of this year. I had interest in sheep, but the hunt itself almost gave me a sacred appreciation for it- the location, the species, and Alaskans who have dedicated their lives to hunting them- before heading out for a 12 day walk-in hunt in late August of this year.

It was truly the adventure of a lifetime that I feel like will have a lasting effect on me for a very, very long time.
